Thanksgiving

This year due to that fact that I was SO pregnant we stayed in AZ.  I missed all my family that made it out to Colorado and I know that they had a great holiday as well.  We had a lot of fun here and made many memories.  It was at Grandma and Grandpas house and the Lunts joined us.  The dinner was fabulous like always and I was only in charge of pies and a relish tray.  Which in translation means Village Inn and Wal-Mart.  I feel bad that everyone knows I can't cook because they always take on the bulk of the responsibilities and leave me with hardly anything.  Maybe someday when my sanity returns I will try to learn to cook and be more helpful.  Since that will not be anytime soon I pre-apologize for all the upcoming holidays and special occasions.   We had a great meal then got to relax and wait for the Cardinals game.  The children played ALL day together and then made and frosted sugar cookies in the evening.  I even enjoyed the weather it rained which I love, we hardly ever get to see that as well.  We played games and I don't know how but Tanner won every single one.  The only disappointment was the Cards, sad to say they were horrible.  Overall we had a great time and really enjoyed being together.  Happy Thanksgiving to all and I look forward to Christmas!

Gorilla Poo!

I love no bake cookies and for the first time ever I heard them called Gorilla Poops!  Of course I thought that was just a great name and therefore have renamed my no bakes to just that.  The other day while Navie was at school the kids were looking for something to do and we decided to make some cookies.  They loved helping and by the time they were done with all the snacking we had just about half left.  That didn't last long between my ginormous appetite and their dads the poops were gone in about a couple of hours.  We love them and need to eat as much as possible now because after the baby comes I am going to have to start some major diet!!!  That is a whole different story though.

For Mamaw!

All my life I was raised next to my Mamaw therefore she was like my second mother.  She is one of the most wonderful people in the whole world.  So many of my good memories have her in them and I can't not express enough how grateful I feel to be so close to her.  One of my fond memories consist of her and the "claw."  She would take her hand and shake it above her shoulder and we knew that the hand was going to come after us and tickle us.  I started dong this with Jag when he was very young and we have had great laughs!  The other day when I went to tickle him I was shocked to find out how well he had caught on and he raised his hand first to come and attack me.  I could not stop laughing he knew exactly what to do and came after me with a vengeance.  I love this boy with all  my heart!  I am so thankful that I was blessed to have my grandma so close to me and teach me so much.  I love you Mamaw and I wish that I could see you soon!  I miss you!!!

A trip to the ZOO!

Navie and her school Kindergarten classes all got to go to the Zoo for a field trip today.  Luckily for Navie her dad had agreed to be one of the chaperone's.  I cannot tell you how excited Navie was for this and how long she talked about it.  Ryan got to ride the bus with the kids and had three girls in his group.  With her cousin Lauren and their schoolmate Calli they had a wonderful time.  They all agreed that their favorite part were the Stingrays because while they were touching them they would splash the girls and they all got wet.  They all shared lunch together at the Zoo and when the time came they rode back together.  It was a whole day trip and I am sure that it was exhausting.  Navie made her Dad promise that he would come on the next field trip and he didn't seem to mind at all.  I am so glad that they get to spend quality time together and make wonderful memories these are the things that children remember forever!

My Boxing Babe!

We have this boxing set in our garage that is used as great decoration.  The kids however love it and when Daddy lets them they get to give it a try...  So here is Jag doing just that!

What a day!

To all of those that like positive attitudes at all times I suggest that you stop reading now and move on!  It has just been one of those days.  Who knows why, pregnancy hormones, bad luck, a combination of both.  All I know is that I am glad that it is night time and that we can start anew in the morning (hopefully with a better attitude!)  It all started early this morning when at 3am Blake walks in and wants me to come sleep with her.  She is scared of our room and refuses to lay with us she only wants her bed.  When I was too tired to comprehend she started crying and wouldn't leave my side.  I walked into her room to find Navie awake and upset as well.  We all piled into the bed and tried to sleep.  I slept through my alarm and had seriously five minutes to get Navie up and ready for school.  Luckily she woke up well and we hurried fast so that I didn't have to drive her and fight all the school traffic.  Then this morning around noon I hear Jag crying and turn around to find his mouth covered in blood.  Yes folks we have now knocked out his two front teeth four times.  It has to be a record somewhere!!!  I swear my brother is getting a run for his money (he has done that 8 times.)  I am hoping that Jag can stop the competition and just be happy with second place.  By the way Jag slipped on a spoon that was on the tile floor and that is how he ate enamel.  To top it off I was not paying attention this afternoon to what the kids were playing with and come to find out that Jag and Blake had decided to play store with mommy and daddies credit cards and wallets.  I was not paying attention and went to take the kids playing at a playground this evening to find my wallet emptied and tossed about.  I get home only to find out that Ryan found his wallet outside completely empty with contents strewn about by our garbage cans.  That started the two hour "Let's find Mommies wallet stuff" game that the kids quickly lost interest in.  So at family prayers that evening we prayed that we could find moms stuff (Blakely actually said the prayer and then asked Jesus to give her a dollar when she found them) and that things would be alright.  Needless to say I am still a HUGE believer in prayers and twenty minutes later I found the missing contents under a stereo adaptor in the cabinet.  Way to go JAG, great hiding spot!  I woke the girls to tell them that prayers come true when you have faith and Blake asked me if I got my dollar...  I swear Ryan and I don't bribe our kids?!.  To finish the evening I guess I should have prayed for one more thing and that is to find my phone.  Now missing for almost a week.  I have searched ad cleaned and organized and thrown about this whole house, both cars included and cannot find it.  Sad thing is I don't really miss it I just wonder who thinks I am the rudest person in the world ignoring all their calls!  So remember folks if you have been trying to call, I have no idea and probably won't for a while.  Who knows where it went...  Someone pray for me!

Halloween week...

We had a very packed week this year for Halloween.  It started with my mom coming in town, partially to see us and partially to help Jacqui move her furniture up to Colorado.  We had a great time with her and my kids were in heaven.  They made cookies, played games, read books, sang songs, watched Navie at Gymnastics, the list goes on and on when Nonna is here.  I appreciate that she makes the effort to come see me and helps me with so much while she is here.  She even went to Navies school and got to volunteer while she was here.  Navie just loved having her at school!  Lenna had a pumpkin carving party at her house on Sunday evening and the grand kids had a blast.  She handed out prizes and treat bags and did art projects, she never fails to impress.  Then we had our ward Fall Festival with games prizes food and fun.  That was followed by both of the children having school parties and so much candy.  I got five bags of candy this year to hand out due to the fact that last year I ran out very early.  Those five bags only made it until 7:30pm and once again I was on a mad dash to Walgreens to buy four more bags.  We ended up with very little leftovers if that tells you how many children come around this neighborhood.  Navie this year was batwoman, Blake was a princess one night followed by a butterfly followed yet again by a ballerina, Jag was supposed to be a chicken but when I put the outfit on him Ryan freaked and said there was no way that was going to happen.  Therefore we put his Adidas sweat suit on and hat and he went as "K-Fed!"  Overall what a fun week this has been.  A lot busy however and it has absolutely flown by.  I cant believe that we are into November at least I get to start my Christmas music.  I know, I know you all think that I am weird but I look forward to this time of season every single year.  My tree will be up before you know it and onto Christmas!
