Shout out!

Just want to send a quick congrats to my sister Jacqui and her  new fiancee Dave Baer.  I know that the two of you are going to be so happy and live a wonderful life.  Also the ring is amazing I know first hand that Dave had to sell a kidney spleen and part of a limb (no not the important one) to be able to afford this precious stone.  However I think that it is more than worth it Jacqui is a pretty nice gem herself!  Love to you both!

Aloha!

Many of you know that we had the privilege to go to Hawaii with the Andersons.  It was a wonderful trip with many memories that will be cherished forever.  We stayed on the big island in Mauna Launi in a three bedroom house that was fully equipped.  The children had a great time thanks to the Anderson girls and their fun personalities.  However the most entertaining was

(like always) Bryce!  He was great at Hula dancing, fish feeding and cooking he truly did it all! Plus Brittany was awesome and still turns heads constantly.  I can't believe how good looking she is and to think that I had to lay there next to her for seven days...  I must admit we did have rain every single day and only received a few hours in the morning to lay out and spend some quality time with the sunshine but it was still worthwhile.  I thought that we would come home all tan but instead came home still a little powdery, what are the odds that we could actually tan.  The rain was beautiful however it was a warm down pour that made the purest cleanest smells and gorgeous greenery I have ever seen.  We were able to visit some dolphins close up at the Hilton and play on several beaches.  The pool will always get the best reviews from Navie because she likes to swim so much (her and Paige preferred the pool to anything)!  Sailor the CUTEST two year old that I have ever seen acquired the nickname Boo because of the darling resemblance to the Monsters Inc. character.  Jag was such a good baby considering that the whole vacation he was suffering from an ear infection and severe congestion.  The children were angels on the flight to and from and considering the duration we had several people comment of how good they thought our children were.  Overall the trip was a success and we want to thank the Andersons for the wonderful experience and memories and tell them how much we are proud of them and who they are and the wonderful example they are to all of us.   We truly love you and look forward to our next vacation (if you can handle the Burkinshaws again)!

I am totally backwards!

I forgot to post pictures of our lovely Thanksgiving that we had at mom and dad Burkinshaws this year.  It was wonderful and needless to say that I ate until I was seriously sick.  It is way too hard for me to walk away from a meal that tastes that good when I know that I only get it twice a year.  As most of you know I am not a cook so I rely on everyone else to feed me.  Plus people know that I can't cook so they put me in charge of things like drinks, and store bought pies.  Oh well I will be the first to admit that the last thing anyone wants on Thanksgiving is to show up and have some staple to the dinner ruined.  Someday I promise (mom) that I will learn to cook but right now I think that everyone else does a great job for me!  Love you all and thank you for letting me be the free loader that I am!

The first "steps" to Christmas

I have finally gotten around to decorating the house.  It has been crazy with all that is going on these past few months.  Plus all that we have coming up I don't know how I'll survive.  This family seems to never slow down but we also seem to never finish any of our tasks as well.  Poor Jag is suffering from yet another ear infection we feel so bad for him.  As of right now there is only one antibiotic that takes his infections away so we might be looking at tubes pretty soon.  I want to send a HUGE shout out to Ryan and his buddy Grant who literally spent all day putting up the lights on the house.  I must be OCD because I only wanted the white big bulbs (of course all facing the same direction) as decoration this year.  Seriously I am not kidding it took all day!  They were outside from morning till dusk.  Thanks for hanging in there boys the end result was well worth it, the house looks GREAT, BEAUTIFUL, STUNNING!  I can't say enough.  Love you Ry-Guy you always go the extra mile to make sure that I am happy!  Love to all...

P.S. Yes I did two trees this year!  One for me to decorate and no one else to touch, the other one for all of our family ornaments and the kids to do the decorating. We have yet to get around to letting the kids do it yet, I will post pictures when we get around to it.

The end of October...

These are officially the end of our October photos!  I promise...

Sudden Death Sunday!

Such a sad Sunday for the Burkinshaw family.  Late this evening Ryan and I were in the garage looking for something when I heard what could only be someone sneaking around the bushes outside.  Considering our past history and how quick were are to call the Police when it turns out to be the wind, Ryan decided to check this out for himself.  We opened the garage and he went out looking for the trespasser.  We couldn't find anyone or anything and quickly gave up our hunt.  After about and hour Ryan heard it again and went out then called me to join him.  He found a mouse inside out trash can in the garage.  It was running around looking for an escape but also enjoying all the gross leftovers that I throw out of my car into that can.  We tried to decide what to do and at the thought that it would return if we freed it Ryan decided to finish Mickey off.  Needless to say I couldn't watch or listen and ran inside to await his return.  So sad but what do those things think when they follow us to our new house.  They need to start telling their buddies not to go near the Burkinshaws it will become their demise!  So now we have officially had one scorpion and one mouse at our new house.  Oh the beauty of Arizona...  Love to all!

October-FEST!

I know that I am way behind however I need to start somewhere.  We had a lot of things going on in October so I am going to post a ton of pictures about everything that took place.  Not only was Halloween fun but we went to two pumpkin patches and had a ward party that were great as well.  I must say that I felt bad about Halloween night because I ran out of candy an hour and a half before the trick-or-treaters were done.  I had to put an empty bowl on my door step and could hear the kids say "Oh don't go there they are all out of candy!"  Sorry I will try harder next year I promise.  As for October over all it was a fun month filled with exciting adventures.  Anyone that lives here in good old AZ also knows that it was freakishly warm as well.  I truly miss a season called fall with the leaves and trees and chill in the air.  Arizona has a lot of great things to offer so I can't complain too much I guess.  Love to all!

P.S. I am sorry for some duplicate pictures.  I am lucky that I am even sane enough to figure out that I need to post any!  Best I can do for right now.  I must be losing it!
