Don't really know what else to say nothing has been going on! Wish I could be more exciting but sorry life is just ordinary right now. However thank heavens for ordinary I don't need any added drama. Things are good. Love to all!

The Day has Come!

I cant believe it after 29 years of life and 13 years of driving I finally got pulled over. No, it has never happened to me before and I was shocked. I am following my husband with our children to a lunch date with some friends in from out of town when low and behold an undercover cop pulls me over. Of course I was terrified and when he asked me if I knew why he was pulling me over everything went through my mind. I keep threatening my children that if they don't buckle when they get in the car that a police man is going to take them to jail. Needless to say that when Blake figured out who was behind us she quickly told me that she was buckled so who was that man coming to get. He was coming after my windows. Yes people police men take time in good old AZ to pull you over for your tint jobs. I thought this could happen, but considering that I have never heard of it before I never thought it would happen to me. He took out a machine checked my windows and gave me what he called a "fix-it" ticket. Get it fixed and the ticket goes away or don't fix it and pay the fine. At least this wasn't for something too serious! I do not want to get pulled over again it is a "Little" embarrassing for people to drive by and stare. I am one of those people. I have learned my lesson. I wonder if the police would understand if my excuse was that my children are so pale that we can't allow sunlight to come through the windows. Nice try! Love to all!

I got tagged!

Don't truly understand this but here goes;

Jobs I've had:
1. I too worked my first job at the Atriums retirement home serving mashed potatoes and coffee, I really think that is all they ate.
2. Then I moved on up to Bath and Body works but didn't last long due to the fact that I felt extremely uncomfortable squirting everyone with smelly lotion when they entered (which believe it or not was required).
3. Moved up the success ladder once again to an OBGYN office in Utah. Boy the stories that I could tell you!
4. Then moved to AZ and started working for an OB out here. Once again the stories don't cease and everyone I've told don't believe that these sort of things really happen. Ladies they do!
5. Finally a mom. Which includes being a kleenex, paper towel, incubator, cow, therapist, punching bag, & anything and everything in between.

Movies I never get tired of:
1. Anything with Orlando and naughty pirates!
2. Anything that makes me laugh.
3. Anything that does NOT include the Doodlebops.

Places I've called home:
1. Overland Park, KS
2. Provo, UT
3. Draper, UT
4. Now back in AZ

Fav TV shows:
1. So you think you can dance
2. The Office
3. Survivor
4. 24
5. Lost
6. Rob & Big
7. Basically this list could go on and on I love reality TV!

Fav vacation spots:
1. Hawaii
2. Newport California
3. Uncle Merrills cabin in Montana
4. Mom and Dads backyard (love green with streams and mountains)

Fav websites:
1. anything home decor related

Places I'd rather be:
Moved and settled into our new house (not living in boxes)!

Would you bungee jump?
Yes, I cant promise that my bladder would hold up though (dang pregnancies)!

Fav cereal:
Chocolate Chex

What are you wearing?
Everyone take one wild guess... Nuff said.

Last thing you ate:
A box of Zingers. Wonder why I can't lose that last 10 pounds?

What are you listening to?
Mom, Blakely hit me. No, I didn't! Yes, she did. No, I didn't! Navie hit me. No, I didn't....

eye color:
blue

Summer or Winter:
I don't have a choice we have only one season here!

Last person I talked to on the phone?
Nacky (she is my own little soap opera)!

Scary or Happy endings?
Happy no question.

I am not going to tag anyone because this took me a long time and was slightly irritating so I don't want to pass that on! Love to all...

Nothin' new

Just thought I would let everyone know that we are still here but nothing is really going on. We are in the middle of a move and have been for about 3 months now. The house we bought is one street behind us and some friends sold it to us. They are custom building their new house and things have not gone as smoothly as they thought it would, hence all the delays that have now taken our move date into September. Hopefully things will progress faster now considering that we are living out of boxes! I cant complain though because the house is beautiful and I am so excited to live there. I can wait a little longer, after all one of my dads biggest lessons to us children growing up was PATIENCE! Love to all...

Inches Away...

I never thought it would happen to me but it finally did... Blakely cut her own hair! Friday I was cleaning the house after everyone went to bed and I noticed a chunk of hair on the floor. I knew right away it was Blakes due to the color. When she awoke the next morning I asked her point blank if she had cut her hair and she said yes. I checked out her new style and it wasn't that noticeable because she cut some hair that was hidden underneath. I gave her the lecture on not playing with scissors and never cutting hair and she seemed to catch on. A few hours later after I finished cleaning up I once again looked over to see a huge chunk of hair laying on the kitchen table. I went and found Blake hiding under her bed apparently aware that she had done something wrong. After sucking my stomach in as much as I could muster I squeezed just far enough under the bed to pull her out. She was bawling! Then once I got a look at her hair I thought about joining her. She took both sides of her hair and cut about 5-6 inches off. Creatively enough she left it long in the back so she was in definition sporting a wicked mullet. Needless to say we had to go to Lollilocks and even her hair up to a cute little bob! They made it such a fun experience there that I hope she is not planning on another self inflicted hair cut in order to go back. It actually turned out pretty cute, but Ryan is devastated that she lost so much hair. He loves long hair on his girls! I will post a picture as soon as I get them off my camera. Love to all!

I didn't like looking at my last post and what it said so I decided to post some more pictures of my cute kids so my blog was a little more "light hearted!"

A Scary World

Navie returned home from school today with a memo from the school district that made me sick to my stomach. It stated that only a mile away from the school a man tried to abduct two 14 year old girls walking home from school yesterday. Luckily they were both smart and knew how to get away and to run for safety into a nearby business. So I am writing this so that all of you can have talks with your children about stranger danger no matter what their age is. I would be devastated to hear that anything happened to anyone I knew. This world is getting scarier everyday and we need to arm our children with knowledge so that they can stay young innocent and safe! Sorry for such a bummer of a message! I am glad that Navie is in a carpool and that we drop and pick her up everyday at least I can be reassured that I am watching her the best that I can! Love to all...

California Summer

These are some pictures of our annual trip to California that we took this year. I will post some more in a photo slide show once my smart sister teaches me how to do that! Cant wait for next years trip!

School Days!

Monday was Navies official first day of school! She was super excited and she loved every minute of it. Ryan and I have a feeling that she will be one of those kids that loves to hang out with her friends. She comes home and still wants to see which friend can "come over and play!" Blakely starts in September and is thrilled to think that she will be like Navie and get to go to school. I will post some pictures once I get them off my camera. It might be a while but you've waited this long whats a couple more weeks!

Update on Navie

Back in June of this year Navie had her very first dance recital. She has loved learning to dance and looks forward to every class. It took just a little convincing but after dress rehearsal she decided that she did want to perform in the recital. She got on stage and did the whole dance with a half grin on her face. We were so proud of her and she looks forward to more classes in the future.

Desert Ridge Weekend

To all you Arizonans out there you need to take advantage of your local resorts. Most every resort offers some sort of summer rate with a great incentive. We love to go out to Desert Ridge Marriott or to Kierland. The children have so much fun as well as the adults. You can swim all day and order food by the pool then at night there is always some sort of entertainment like swim in movies! Plus for all you ladies there is great shopping by both. It is a fun family tradition and we usually make it out there a few times a summer. You would all love it, try it out sometime! The only downfall for us is that even with 50 block on our kids burn! We will have to take some time out of the sun for a while poor Navie is a little tomato.

I am not so smart?!.

Okay so here's the deal... I totally thought that I could do this and that it would be easy. I am not smart nor do I try to pretend that I am. I CANNOT figure this thing out. As you can tell my picture at the bottom of the page is large and in charge. I would never want a pic that big! Therefore once again I will have to wait for my intelligent older sister to teach me how to do this. Sorry for those of you that thought you would see something good soon....

Up and Running...?

Well, we are officially a blogging family now, I guess. I'm going to have to figure out how all of this works but I'm going to try my best so that I can keep all my family and friends updated with our ever-exciting lives here in Arizona!

Thanks to the coolest sister in the world, Jerianne, for creating my blog header. More to come tomorrow - or whenever I get back on with something awesome to say!
